Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the Marsal Family School of Education! We are thrilled to welcome you to our school and to the University of Michigan.

Here you will study in top-ranked academic programs with some of the world’s leading education scholars and practitioners.  From day ONE, you will have opportunities to learn in real-world settings, doing the work while learning with, in, and from multiple communities.

You also will be part of our incredible Marsal community of peers and leaders in our school, the university, and beyond, working together to boldly transform education so that all people can flourish and thrive.  Our values are central in our pursuit of this vision, and we are steadfast in our commitments to educational access, opportunity, and quality.

As you engage in these opportunities, we are committed to helping you explore your interests deeply, even as we challenge you to broaden your horizons. We are honored to support your academic journey and look forward to your role in shaping the future of our community and education.
