Rachel Davis serves as the program manager for the master’s program in Educational Studies (ES) at the Marsal Family School of Education. In this role, she provides comprehensive support and mentorship to master’s students in the following areas of study: Educational Leadership and Policy; Designing for Innovation: Learning, Instruction, and Technologies; Educational Equity, Justice, and Social Transformation; and Research for Educational Improvement. Her other responsibilities include managing program admissions, supporting program faculty, and overseeing the internship component of the ES MA program. She works closely with the ES Program Chair, ES faculty, and key units within the Marsal School of Education and the larger campus community. 

Rachel is a lifelong educator who taught at the middle school level before transitioning to higher education. She began her teaching career in rural Vermont, serving as the middle school science teacher in a K-8 public school. In 2015, she joined the Marsal Teacher Education Program as a course instructor and field instructor in secondary science. In this role, she taught undergraduate and graduate students, supervised their student teaching experience, and served as liaison between the University and partner organizations. With Dr. Batoul Abdallah, she developed the online course Inquiry-Based Learning in Secondary Science Education

Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree from Colby College and her M.S. in environmental studies with teacher certification from Antioch University New England. She is passionate about expanding educational access and supporting future change-makers in the field of education.
