The CREATE Center fosters community-based research on equity, activism, and transformative education among university-based researchers and community advocates.
Every day in this country, thousands of children miss out on educational opportunities because of teachers' uneven access to high-quality preparation and support. Having a skillful teacher has been a matter of chance and students of color and low-income have unequal access to good teaching. Making teachers' professional training as effective as that of other fields must be a top priority. At TeachingWorks we aim to make this vision a reality.
The GRIP Lab group does research and development on the teaching of mathematics and the professional preparation of mathematics teachers. This research and development often involves online and multimedia tools.
The goal of DyslexiaHelp is to help individuals with dyslexia, as well as parents, employers, and professionals of all kinds who have the privilege to work with dyslexics gain new understandings about dyslexia and language disability, including current research findings and how to design intervention contexts based on best practices.
