Global Intersections: Middle Eastern Diaspora and Religion in Latin America and the Caribbean
Educational resources explore migration and Middle Eastern diasporas and religion in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This packet of educational resources was developed to complement the 2019 workshop, Global Intersections: Middle Eastern Diaspora and Religion in Latin America and the Caribbean, put on by the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Michigan. The resources in this packet are designed to support teachers to incorporate these topics into their curricula and contain three primary components: ideas for designing case study lessons, a high school lesson based on a case study, and a middle school lesson based on a case study.
