The BioScholars supports four cohorts of biology majors at Evergreen Valley College (EVC) towards the attainment of an Associates in Science for Transfer (AS-T) in Biology and transfer into a baccalaureate program in biology.
BioScholars will participate in cohort activities and professional development, including internships with local companies, research experience at four-year institutions, biology fieldwork trips, field trips to tour local universities, and mentoring from biology instructors at EVC. Students take a study skills course designed for life science and biology majors that provides undergraduate research experience.
