Math and Science Partnership - Motivation Assessment Program II (MSP-MAP II) Teacher Motivation Professional Development - a National Science Foundation grant

This project will apply motivation theory and research to the process of faculty development of teachers in math and science and will test the adequacy of a structural model of that process. Deliverables will include a knowledge base of previous research on motivation and professional development and a set of scales that National Science Foundation-funded Math and Science Partnerships can use for purposes of formative and summative evaluation. The prime grant at U-M will include a subcontract to a project co-PI at UC-Irvine, the location of the western U.S. project site.
