Expanding Access to High-Quality Geographic Professional Development

This proposal is for funding that will extend and supplement the work of a larger National Science Foundation funded research project. This proposal requests support so that the University of Michigan can increase the number of teachers participating in a professional development program that directly addresses the challenge of conceptual knowledge of decision making processes and technical knowledge of how to use geographic information systems (GIS) tools are key to understanding these kinds of real-world policy problems.
