Catalyzing School Improvement in Michigan: Working with Schools, Families and Communities

The Education Leadership Center (ELC) at the University of Michigan received a planning grant to design an innovative demonstration project aimed at improving the educational outcomes of vulnerable children in Michigan communities. To develop this initiative, the ELC proposes to work in partnership with various academic and research units at the U-M, key policy actors in the state of Michigan, leaders from selected Michigan school districts, and the grass-roots and community organizations located in the areas served by these districts.
