GenAI & Human Learning Workgroup

A working group exploring the evolving role of generative AI in learning and teaching.

Share

The GenAI & Human Learning Workgroup is exploring the evolving role of generative AI in learning and teaching. Through conversation, shared inquiry, and collaborative experimentation, we aim to engage the Marsal community—including students, faculty, staff, and community partners—in critical discussions about GenAI in education. We ask how GenAI changes our understanding of human learning. What are the intended and unintended consequences of embracing this technology? How might it be used to improve teaching and learning? Where does GenAI fit in the broader landscape and history of educational technology? Over the next year, we will explore this topic together through events and learning opportunities. We intend to highlight perspectives from the learning sciences, providing approaches and conversations that are distinct from other university initiatives.
