Angela Calabrese Barton has been elected and inducted as a Fellow of the International Society of Learning Sciences (ISLS), an honor given in recognition of her substantial contributions to the learning sciences.

The ISLS is a professional and widely interdisciplinary international society dedicated to the empirical investigation of learning as it exists in real-world settings and to how learning may be facilitated both with and without technology.

The ISLS Fellows program recognizes those who have made major research accomplishments in advancing the field of the learning sciences; identifies people who continue to take leadership roles in ISLS and serve as role models for others in the field; and builds a respected cohort of leaders who sustain the ISLS community and advance its broader value and visibility.
