TeachingWorks Minnesota Teacher Education Fellowship

Dr. Francesca Forzani has been awarded a grant from the McKnight Foundation to fund the Minnesota Teacher Education Fellowship. TeachingWorks will work with the foundation to identify and support Minnesota teacher educators in up to nine preparation programs in designing and implementing practice-based, justice-oriented teacher education through a year-long, application-based fellowship for methods course instructors, with accompanying opportunities for deans, department chairs, and program leaders. The goal is to introduce all participants to key tools in designing and implementing practice-based education, and to support instructors in a first experience in using practice-based pedagogies to teach novices high-leverage practices aimed at the pursuit of educational equity.
