Early Childhood Education in the Context of Mathematics, Science and Literacy

Nell K. Duke will lead development of the language and literacy components of the MISL (now Connect4Learning) curriculum. She will meet with fellow PIs as described in the proposal. She will also oversee research and development work with Michigan teachers, providing mentoring and support and collecting data. Duke will take the lead in providing training in the administration and scoring of language and literacy assessments. She will contribute to data analysis and the ongoing revision of the curriculum materials, particularly with respect to the language and literacy components.
