Curriculum Literacy Assessment Pilot for Texas Teacher Candidates

These assessments were initially drafted during the 2021-2022 academic year through a partnership with US PREP; we also carried out limited piloting of them in the same period. This project will build on this work with a goal of producing fully-piloted tests that can be used by teacher educators in Texas to measure teacher candidates’ curriculum literacy at the conclusion of related coursework and/or by other researchers interested in evaluating the effectiveness of approaches to developing curriculum literacy in teacher candidates.
