The National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good has been awarded a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York to investigate institutional practices and policy responses on the educational access of immigrant and undocumented students. Research, capacity building, and coalition strengthening will serve to inform policies and practices at institutional, state and federal levels regarding students' postsecondary access and success and leaders' negotiations of political pressures. The National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good seeks to increase public understanding of the social, civic and economic benefits that arise from the expansion of higher education opportunities to all students in the U.S., and to highlight the contributions that a diverse, educated population makes to a robust democracy.
