Challenges and Opportunities: Continuing the Conversation on Immigration and Higher Education

This project aims to change the way that immigration and educational access will be treated in national policy discussions by inter-relating and redefining the issues within strategically chosen local, institutional and state contexts. We intend to resituate a central and recurring question in our national history within the context of contemporary educational values, practices and responsibilities. We believe that we can foster a national/professional commitment to educational access for immigrant students by building a national standard of practice out of shared information resources and numerous local initiatives.
