Tabita’s primary focus is working with faculty, research scientists, staff, and students that are working on externally funded research projects. She works with project team members to forecast expenses, monitor and analyze financial transactions, request personnel changes, process payments to companies and individuals, prepare financial reports, and other financial post-award tasks. Tabita also assists with preparing research project proposals as needed. She is also an excellent resource for discussing federal, foundation, and University of Michigan policies and guidelines and how they may impact the project you are working on.
Tabita has always enjoyed interacting with others, problem-solving, and multitasking. This position allows her to combine these items on a daily basis by advising project teams on the financial implications of their plans.
Before joining the Marsal Family School of Education, Tabita worked at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), where she provided both pre- and post-award financial support to faculty and project teams within the Social Science units.
