Jennifer Colby

Jennifer Colby is an Instructional Technology Consultant and the Secondary Library Services department chair for Ann Arbor Public Schools. Drawing on her background as an AAPS building librarian, she connects district leadership, librarians, teachers, and IT staff to design and implement programs and resources that help students use technology effectively with intent. She has presented on the ethical use of generative AI, promoting fairness, transparency, and student safety, at multiple educational conferences—supporting other districts in creating AI policies. In her district-wide coaching role, she provides hands-on classroom support, troubleshooting, and clear, accessible resources that make new tools approachable for educators and students. Committed to meaningful student engagement, Colby emphasizes authentic learning that cultivates critical and creative thinking, skills essential for future life and career enjoyment.
