Elizabeth provides staff leadership and manages the business operations of Educational Studies, representing ES on business affairs in the School and U-M Community. In partnership with ES leadership, Elizabeth oversees strategic planning and manages ES-wide projects, and partners with ES and School colleagues to oversee HR needs for staff, lecturers, and GSIs; course scheduling; communications; and alumni relations for Ed Studies.
Elizabeth began her staff career at U-M as an international education professional in the study abroad offices first in LSA and then the College of Engineering. From there, Elizabeth joined the Integrative Systems and Design department at CoE, overseeing academic programming, admissions, and recruitment. Her most recent position was in the Ross School of Business, leading the academic advising and student life teams for the Full-Time MBA program.
In between earning her BS and MS degrees from the University of Michigan in Japanese Studies, Elizabeth worked as an ESL teacher in Yokohama, Japan for students of all ages, from elementary school to working professionals. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, and is currently pursuing a part-time MBA degree at the Ross School of Business.
