Donna Miller

Project Manager & Research Associate, Educational Studies

Donna Miller serves as Project Manager and Research Associate with Dr. Namsoo Shin on an Education Innovation and Research (EIR) project. Their work supports science learning in elementary schools through a project-based curriculum that integrates multiple literacies and balances analog learning activities with digital AI teacher supports. She helps oversee project teams and collaborates with faculty, researchers, and partners to coordinate content-focused initiatives. Her responsibilities include coordinating workflows and timelines, tracking deliverables, developing educational materials and curriculum, providing feedback to support AI development, and supporting professional learning and data collection. She helps ensure project decisions align with the intended scope and values, while also serving as a communications point of contact for collaborators.

Donna has a bachelor’s degree in art history and a master’s degree in elementary education. Her eclectic background in teaching, editing, writing, and curriculum development—always with a thoughtful emphasis on effective communication—allows her to bridge content knowledge with practical execution. She prioritizes collaboration within teams and actively works to support clear communication, ensure healthy accountability, and encourage resilience through learning curves.

When not nerding out over interesting phrases or comma placement, Donna enjoys texting her friends corny jokes and reminding her kids that, even when everything goes wrong, it’s “all part of the adventure!” She loves cozy things, hugging her people, mini adventures, good food, hobbies she doesn’t currently have time for, and nature (but not bugs—sorry).
