Daniel Rivkin has worked with policymakers his entire career, and currently works on promoting the faculty, research, and activities of Marsal to local, state, and national government entities, to think tanks, and others who can benefit from the school’s expertise.
He is a recovering journalist, having been an international reporter, producer and bureau chief for Reuters news agency for many years. His career began at humble WPAG-AM & FM in Ann Arbor (no longer on your dial).
After 20 years in journalism, he transferred his story-telling to the world of Strategic Communications, working for corporations, governments, NGOs, and international agencies. He has reported and produced from some 70 countries.
A proud U-M alum, previously at the University he was the Communications Manager at the Center for International Reproductive Health Training (Michigan Medicine), and has been at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy in various communications and public affairs roles since 2020.
He serves on the board of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and on the Ann Arbor Charter Township Planning Commission. When not attending sporting events in his spare time, he can be found in the garden.
