Chris Thomas

Chris Thomas is dedicated to enhancing equitable student learning outcomes through educational technology. With 26 years of experience as a middle school science teacher and a district Technology Consultant for Ann Arbor Public Schools, Chris focuses on integrating technology to amplify student voice and understanding. Twice honored as Teacher of the Year and invited to the 2023 National Teacher of the Year Ceremony at the White House, Chris has led work in blended learning, remote instruction, and national educator networks reaching over 35,000 teachers. Passionate about student voice, he partners with the University of Michigan Marsal Family School of Education, School of Information and School of Social Work to support digital wellness. His teams’ AI Literacy work leads district efforts to integrate AI responsibly and is used as a model in the Michigan Department of Education AI Guidance for districts. Chris also proudly serves on the MACUL Board of Directors.
