In celebration of its 50th year as an organization, the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) has launched the ASHE Fellowship to recognize leaders in the field of higher education scholarship.
Two Marsal School faculty members are among the inaugural cohort of ASHE Fellows, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Affairs and Marvin W. Bastedo and Lattuca are recognized for their integrity, advancement of knowledge, mentoring, and service. They will be honored during an induction ceremony at the ASHE 50th Annual Conference in November.
In addition, a number of CSHPE alumni are also included in the cohort, underscoring the program's significance within the field of higher education. The following ASHE Fellows all earned degrees from CSHPE: Ann Austin (AM '82, PhD '84), Nick Bowman (AM '05, CertGrad '08, PhD '08), Adrianna Kezar (AM '93, PhD '96), Penny Pasque (PhD '07), Laura Perna (MPP '92, PhD '97), and Laura Rendon (PhD '82)—not to mention Lattuca (PhD '96) herself!
