Jon Wargo receives the 2023 Media Literacy Award from the National Council of Teachers of English

Jon Wargo is a National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) 2023 Leadership Award recipient. The organization recognizes leaders in the profession for their commitment and dedication to advancing literacy and the field of education. Each year, NCTE celebrates the exceptional work of educators and students from across the country with more than 90 different awards that elevate what makes English and language arts so powerful and essential.
Wargo is recognized with the Media Literacy Award, which is presented to an individual, team, or department that has implemented and refined exemplary media literacy practices in their school environment. He will receive the award at the NCTE annual meeting in November.
