Jennifer Randall presents at briefing on Capitol Hill
Representative Jamaal Bowman invites Randall and colleagues to speak as he discusses highlights of the More Teaching, Less Testing Act.

Jennifer Randall and colleagues were invited to join Representative Jamaal Bowman on Capitol Hill as he discussed his bill, the More Teaching, Less Testing Act. Randall and her colleagues shared recommendations from their report “Educational Accountability 3.0: Beyond the Every Student Succeeds Act” which is a guide for improving federal legislation, as well as state and local polices. The report describes the policy changes needed for testing and accountability policies in K-12 schools to serve the long-stated goals of excellence and equity.
Three members of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce—Jamaal Bowman, Suzanne Bonamici, and Jahana Hayes—were in attendance, as were about two dozen aides. After Congresspeople Bowman and Hayes both offered remarks, Randall and her colleagues briefly presented their report.
