April 29, 2025

SUCCEED Grants fund high-impact research at critical points in the faculty lifecycle.

Associate Professor Erin Flynn has been awarded a 2025 SUCCEED Grant. Flynn is one of nine U-M faculty members in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to receive a SUCCEED Grant in the winter 2025 grant cycle.

The SUCCEED Grant funds a range of scholarly activities to meet the career-relevant needs of faculty members, with particular attention to supporting needs beyond those typically funded through traditional channels. The grant is facilitated by the ADVANCE Program, which focuses on four areas relevant to the success of all faculty: recruitment, retention, climate, and leadership development. Together, these encompass not only multiple stages of faculty careers but also multiple mechanisms by which faculty diversity and excellence at U-M are enhanced.
