Please join us for a virtual coffee chat with Dr. Camille Wilson, professor of Educational Foundations, Leadership & Policy in the Educational Studies program, and University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor. She will discuss her research exploring the education activism of adult and youth community organizers in Detroit.

Recently, this work inspired Dr. Wilson to develop the CREATE (Community-based Research on Equity, Activism, & Transformative Education) Center, which fosters community-based research on equity, activism, and transformative education among university-based researchers and community advocates. Dr. Wilson will share what she is learning from her research in areas such as dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline, and protecting, reinvesting in, and revitalizing public education.

The conversation with Dr. Wilson will be moderated by Dean Elizabeth Birr Moje. Following Dr. Wilson's presentation, there will be time for Q&A. Please register for the event and submit questions for Dr. Wilson in advance of the event at the link below. You may also ask questions during the Zoom. We hope to see you there!
