Join us for a U-M CEDER Video Coaching Check in Meeting that is provided for U-M SEC MAC program graduates who hold Noyce or Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships.
For those of you living in the fine state of Michigan, we will gather together on Saturday March 19th, from 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on the UM Ann Arbor campus, Palmer Commons, Boardroom 6.
For those of out of state, there will be a video webinar on Tuesday evening, March 22, from 7:30–8:30 p.m. (please join early to get set up).
WHAT?
As SEC MAC Graduates who received a teaching fellowship you are eligible to participate in and receive periodic video based/in person coaching and mentoring around the use of standards based practices during the 2015-2016 academic school year.
WHY?
During video/in person coaching you will work with a coach to identify a problem of practice and get mentoring with addressing this problem of practice. The goal is to provide early career support for your teaching.
HOW?
To prepare for coaching you will identify a “problem of practice” that you would like to share with colleagues and coaches for discussion, analysis, feedback and support. To prepare we ask that you collect a record of your practice (video or artifact) that documents your practice and you generate a focus question that helps guide the feedback you receive. We suggest that you come to the meeting or webinar ready to share your “problem of practice” with others.
