The School of Education Center for Education Design, Evaluation and Research (CEDER) is pleased to invite you to a two-part workshop on propensity score matching (PSM) methods by Professor Steve DesJardins.

PSM is a statistical technique that estimates the treatment effects of a program or policy by creating a comparison group using covariates that predict treatment.

Part 1 will be an overview of PSM and it’s application in program and policy evaluation. Part 2 will be a technical demonstration at the School of Education Windows computer lab. You can either use a machine there or bring your own (with STATA installed)! The sessions are cumulative so please only RSVP to Part 2 if you can attend Part 1.

When & Where: Part 1 will be on Friday, September 21st from 1-4 p.m. in the Tribute Room (SEB 1302), Part 2 will be on Thursday, September 27th from 3-4:30 p.m. in the computer lab (SEB 2302).
