Join the dije Office for a community check-in. These check-in events, offered each semester, allow the Marsal Community the opportunity to engage with dije team members and share their thoughts, questions or suggestions. This is a Bring your own container (BYOC) event. Food will be provided and you can pack a tupperware to take your meal to-go!
At this event we will be recognizing Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and working together to make a community ofrenda. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday where family and friends gather to remember loved ones who have passed away. Ofrendas, or altars, are constructed with photos of loved ones, colorful decorations, flowers, and mementos symbolizing things they loved during their lifetime. You can submit a photo of a loved one to display in the community ofrenda using this link. At the event you can also create paper flowers, color skulls, and make papel picado to decorate our ofrenda.
