CREATE Center Community Conversation
Zoom or in person at the Marsal Family School of Education, Tribute Room #1322
This fall, the CREATE Center will host a conversation centered around researcher reciprocity, or how to ensure community members are directly enriched by their participation in and/or collaboration with research studies. This important event will take place on Indigenous Peoples’ Day. In part, this question of reciprocity comes from an acknowledgement of colonialism's impact on research traditions, as well as the role of power in the researcher-community relationship. Several community-based researchers will share what researcher reciprocity means to them and to their work, followed by a facilitated, yet informal, discussion with attendees.
This will be a hybrid event. Attendees are invited to join the speakers and CREATE Center staff who will be convening in person at the School of Education Tribute Room (#1322) where we will have light refreshments. Attendees are also welcome to join the event via Zoom.
