Massiel Adams-Santos provides holistic support and mentorship to master’s students in the Educational Studies program. She manages the internship program, leads special projects in support of the program, and works collaboratively with the Marsal School Office of Student Affairs. Massiel’s other responsibilities include managing the admissions process, faculty support, and program financial management. She works closely with the ES Program Chair and faculty, in addition to key units in the Marsal School and on campus. Massiel is motivated by student well-being and advocacy, accessibility, youth sociopolitical development, and inclusive learning environments.

Prior to joining the Marsal School, Massiel worked as a Program Coordinator for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and Graduate Education at the U-M College of Pharmacy. She has also worked as a Project Coordinator for Faculty within the Office of the Provost at Northwestern University and as an Academic Advisor and Program Specialist in the Honors College at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Massiel is a proud alumna of Smith College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Outside of work, Massiel enjoys spending time with her family, organizing, traveling, and reading.
