Anna Foster (Foster) is a graduate student research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Marsal Family School of Education. Foster’s research and scholarship focus on educational systems and understanding the ways in which school districts go about the work of improving teaching and learning in classrooms. In addition to working on the EdHub team, she works with Professor Don Peurach on an NSF-funded study, "Designing Systems to Support Ambitious Elementary Science Instruction."
Foster received her MA in Educational Studies: Leadership and Policy and a BFA, both from the University of Michigan. Previously, Foster was part of the Youth Policy Lab at the Institute for Social Research, taught special-education history as a high school teacher in Chicago, worked as a pastry baker, and co-founded a local coffee shop.
