Corene is responsible for managing the pre-award process. She assists faculty, research scientists, staff, and students with the proposal submission process. This includes the creation of simple and complex proposals, locating and following relevant sponsor and institutional guidelines, preparing multi-year budgets, assisting with budget justifications, coordinating with internal and external entities as appropriate, and ensuring timely routing of proposals through the institutional approval process.
Corene received her Certified Research Administrator Certification in 2017. She currently represents the Marsal School on the RAAC Training Subcommittee and RAAC Committee-at-Large.
Before joining the Marsal Family School of Education, Corene worked at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), where she provided both pre- and post-award financial support to faculty and project teams.
