Tech Tools for Supporting Human Agency, Development, & Design Skills

While Generative AI is not a silver bullet for alleviating entrenched inequities in American education, it can be skillfully used to enhance human agency and culturally competent growth  for educators, teacher educators, and students alike. Center faculty are pioneering projects focused on leveraging AI to boost human agency within learning environments. These efforts include developing an AI-enhanced teacher coaching model to assist in identifying effective instructional strategies, emphasizing cultural relevance and belonging, as well as the development of a “ready to hand” tool for use in design education and professional learning contexts.
