At the Teaching History special interest group (SIG) program program during the American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual meeting, Ed Studied PhD candidate Sarah Day Dayon was recognized with the AERA Teaching History SIG Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award.

The award recognizes a paper of outstanding quality presented by a graduate student during the SIG’s business meeting at the AERA. It is awarded every other year (on even years). Dayon’s winning paper is titled “Share your talents with all of us: the linguistic practices one Teacher of Color uses to support critical historical inquiry.”
