Michael Bastedo announced as a 2021 AERA Fellow
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) has announced the selection of Professor Michael Bastedo as one of the 2021 AERA Fellows. The purpose of the AERA Fellows Program is to honor education researchers with substantial research accomplishments, to convey the Association’s commitment to excellence in research, and to enable the next generation of emerging scholars to appreciate the value of sustained achievements in research and the breadth of scholarship worthy of recognition. The program is intended to recognize excellence in research and be inclusive of the scholarship that constitutes and enriches education research as an interdisciplinary field.

AERA Fellows are selected on the basis of their distinguished and sustained research achievements. The 2021 Fellows were nominated by their peers, selected by the Fellows Committee, and approved by the AERA Council, the association’s elected governing body. They will be inducted in September during a virtual ceremony.
“We are delighted to honor these highly accomplished scholars for their contributions to education research and their commitment to the field,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “AERA Fellows demonstrate the highest standards of excellence. We welcome the class of 2021 to these prestigious ranks.”
