Dr. Rebecca Quintana joins the Marsal Family School of Education clinical faculty
Quintana’s scholarship focuses on online learning, immersive learning environments, and equitable and inclusive design.

Dr. Rebecca Quintana has joined the Marsal Family School of Education clinical faculty, and will teach in the Educational Studies program. She is an expert in generative and instructional technologies such as artificial intelligence and extended reality tools and their applications for educational learning environments. Her scholarship focuses on online learning, immersive learning environments, and equitable and inclusive design. Her work explores how people learn with technology, including with tools that enable social learning and knowledge building. In her teaching, she advances innovative approaches that use technology to instantiate community-oriented approaches to instruction.
Dr. Quintana was most recently the director of blended and online learning design at the U-M Center for Academic Innovation. She has taught previously in Marsal Education as a lecturer and also serves as co-lead of the Learning Experience Design (LxD) certificate in Educational Studies. Additionally, she is a faculty affiliate with the Digital Studies Institute and a member of the Diversity Scholars Network with the Center for Institutional Diversity.
