Charles H.F. Davis III, CSPHE faculty member and director of the Campus Abolition Research Lab, has been selected for induction into the 38th Martin Luther King, Jr. College of Ministers and Laity’s Collegium of Scholars at Morehouse College.

The annual College of Ministers & Laity is sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, which was founded in 1978 and has since attracted some of the brightest minds across an array of disciplines to engage in dialogue, learning, growing and revealing.

The Collegium of Scholars is comprised of inter/nationally renowned academics and scholars, who may or may not be in the professoriate, who are "committed to research, writing, teaching and mentoring in a wide variety of disciplines and contexts that promote and give support to the work of peace through moral cosmopolitan social responsibility."

Members of the College of Ministers & Laity are challenged to integrate the ethical tradition and principles that guided Dr. King’s life and work into their own, as well as serve as exemplars for their professional peers, those whom they mentor, and in their roles as visible public leaders.

Davis will be inducted at the Benjamin Elijah Mays Crown Forum on April 11, 2024.
