10 - 11 am: Presentation Description:
This presentation aims to explore the necessity of centering Blackness and fostering a space where Black students’ humanity is affirmed and valued. Finally, the presentation will emphasize the importance of Justice-Oriented Solidarity (Jackson, 2020), a framework for relationship-building with teachers, researchers, and students that prioritizes antiracist, humanizing curricula and pedagogy that affirm Black students' diverse, complex identities, experiences, and realities.

11 am - 12 pm: Workshop Description:
Participants will engage in discussions about critical qualitative methods and humanizing research. Additionally, working collaboratively, participants will analyze data from my current research-practice partnership, reflect on emerging themes, and actively participate in the coding process, gaining hands-on experience with these key research practices. Lunch will be served at noon. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.

1:30 - 5 pm: Office Hours with the Researcher-in-Residence:
