Join Professor Kentaro Toyama and the Eileen Lappin Weiser Center for the Learning Sciences for a public talk on generative AI and education.

Dr. Toyama is the W.K. Kellogg Professor of Community Information at the University of Michigan School of Information, a fellow of the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at MIT, and author of "Geek Heresy: Rescuing Social Change from the Cult of Technology." His research examines digital technology and social change, including AI’s impact on society. Dr. Toyama is known for his “Law of Amplification,” the theory that for the most part, technology amplifies underlying human forces -- improving things where individuals and institutions are well-intentioned and capable, but having little or negative impact where human forces are indifferent, dysfunctional, or corrupt.
