Katie serves as the dean’s executive assistant for communications and faculty affairs. She is responsible for crafting speeches, presentations, remarks, scripts, correspondence, and background materials for the dean. She also collaborates with the Marsal School human resources staff to support faculty affairs. Within that context, her work is centered on communications including tasks such as writing appointment letters and Regents Communications, managing the promotion and tenure process, and communicating with the faculty regarding annual procedures like sabbatical leaves and Faculty Annual Reports.
Katie began working at the U-M in 2012 and has been with the Marsal School since 2017. She lives in Farmington Hills with her husband Matt, son Malcolm, two dogs, and a cat. In her free time, she volunteers with Showing Up for Racial Justice – Metro Detroit and Community Equity Organization.
