Kat is responsible for the coordination of application processing in order to facilitate the successful and timely review of applications for prospective undergraduate and Masters students in the School of Education. Additionally, she assists in coordinating recruitment initiatives for prospective students to the school of education. She is responsible for meeting and communicating with prospective students through email, virtual and in-person appointments, open houses, and campus visit days to prepare students to apply to and attend the University of Michigan in the School of Education.
Kat is an alumni of Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelors in Family Studies with a minor in Youth Studies in 2016, as well as of Oakland University where she received her Masters in Higher Education Leadership in 2019. Before joining SOE, Kat worked with U-M's Department of Anthropology as their Grad Program Assistant, focused on the recruitment and admissions of their PhD program as well as the processing of fellowship awards for students.
Kat is so excited to have the opportunity to support future educators! She believes that educators play a pivotal role in the creation of a more just society and preparing future generations for greatness and delights in the opportunity to speak with prospective students in SOE to help them reach their goals!
