Kat East

Kat is passionate about working with Teacher Education students to help them meet their goals and to work together to pave the way to teacher certification. She believes that educators play a pivotal role in the creation of a more just society and preparing future generations for greatness, and delights in the opportunity to work with these students. 

Before joining the Marsal School, Kat worked in the U-M Department of Anthropology as a Graduate Program Assistant. She also worked in the Marsal School as a Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator before transitioning to the role of Academic Advisor. Kat is an alumni of Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelors in Family Studies with a minor in Youth Studies in 2016. She then went on to Oakland University where she received her Masters in Higher Education Leadership in 2019.
