Gracie is a Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator for the Marsal Family School of Education. In this role she supports efforts to identify, recruit, and yield a diverse and high-achieving incoming class of future educators to Marsal’s various academic programs. She specializes in collaborating with programs within the Marsal School to coordinate application review and processing.
As a former educator herself, Gracie is incredibly passionate about the role education plays in cultivating one’s identity and social understanding so students and teachers alike are able to understand and engage with the world around them. She knows how influential teachers can be in students’ lives and is incredibly excited to help recruit students to a school of education that is committed to preparing teachers to foster diverse, inclusive, just, and equitable pedagogy.
Before joining the Marsal School, Gracie worked in recruitment and academic advising at the South Carolina Honors College. She has also taught English literature and rhetoric courses at the high school and early college level. Gracie is an alumna of the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelors (2019) and Masters (2021) in English with a focus on Global Contemporary Literature.
Gracie loves all things books, music, and movies. She is new to the Ann Arbor area and is excited to get to know a new city and discover good vegan food–if you have any recommendations, let her know!
