Working in Higher Education, Daniel’s passion is to serve non-traditional and underrepresented students to his fullest ability. In CPEP, Daniel coordinates all aspects of the doctoral program including recruitment, admissions, funding and budgeting, and event coordination. Because CPEP is a small program, Daniel works frequently with colleagues in the Psychology Department as well as Rackham and the various offices within the Marsal Family School of Education.
Daniel began working at the University in 2016, and has held positions in LSA Organizational Studies, UROP, and the Sweetland Center for Writing. Understanding the complexity of large research institutions, Daniel tries his hardest to remove barriers for the students he works with so they can solely focus on their studies and other educational or career pursuits.
Daniel came to Ann Arbor to pursue his undergraduate degree in psychology in 2012, deciding after graduation that he wasn’t done with the city and all it has to offer. He completed his master’s degree in higher education, which was formative in his practice of student affairs and higher education, at Eastern Michigan University in 2020.
Daniel and his partner Amanda live in Ann Arbor with their Corgi named Pinto, and they can often be found out and about near Main Street downtown.
