Dr. Anita Caduff (she/her) is a research investigator in Educational Studies at the Marsal Family School of Education. Anita is dedicated to better understanding how education can and should be transformed towards more equitable opportunities and outcomes for all learners. Her scholarship is centered around two main areas: (1) the aspirations, social networks, and opportunities of immigrant-origin youth and (2) social networks and leadership at the intersection of research, policy, and practice. She leverages social network analysis, qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and comparative and cross-national study designs.
Anita received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of California San Diego. She was born and raised in Switzerland, where she graduated with a B.A. and an M.A. in Teaching at the Secondary School Level from the University of Fribourg. Anita worked as a middle school teacher in Switzerland, a German language teacher in the United States, and volunteered in a kindergarten, a daycare, and a middle school in Togo.
