The internship is an important component of the Master of Arts in Educational Studies program (ES). The internship offers students work, learning, and mentoring experiences related to a specific area of their professional/research interest. The internship is completed during the winter term and must be approved by a faculty advisor. Students complete the internship on a part-time basis, accompanied by 2-3 credits (depending on the ES MA concentration) of EDUC 638 – Internship and Directed Field Experience. Many students seek paid internships; most positions do not provide tuition remission or health insurance.
There are vast opportunities available to students that connect them to organizations on campus, at local non-profits, and in formal and informal educational settings.
