Regents appoint Dr. Pamela A. Moss as John Dewey Collegiate Professor of Education
Dr. Pamela A. Moss has been appointed as the John Dewey Collegiate Professor of Education by the Regents of the University of Michigan. This is a five-year renewable appointment. The John Dewey Collegiate Professorship in Education was established in April 1993 and was previously held by Professor David Cohen.
"It is a great pleasure to recognize Pamela Moss for her distinguished scholarship and significant contributions to education research through her scholarship on the intersections of educational assessment, philosophy of social science, and interpretive or qualitative research methods. She continues to advance educational research through her emerging work to develop a 'Community Research Ecology' focuses on evolving knowledge infrastructures in education research and brings a new and potentially transformative dimension to work in methodological pluralism," said Dean Elizabeth Moje.
