CEDER awarded grant by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to conduct MiSTEM evaluation

The Center for Education Design, Evaluation, and Research was awarded a grant by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to conduct the MiSTEM Advisory Council Grant Return on Investment Impact Study.

The project’s aim is to document the MiSTEM program’s return on investment with regard to improving K-12 STEM education, provide information about access to programming, and specify recommendations to maximize the effectiveness of the program. Initially, they are specifically looking at how the MiSTEM program application, review, and selection process can be improved.

Stephanie Moore, PhD, CEDER Evaluation Specialist, was the lead writer on the successful proposal with assistance from Stephanie Hensel, Research Development Manager, and Nate Phipps, Managing Director for CEDER. Victoria Bigelow, PhD, CEDER Evaluation Specialist, is the PI. Jennifer Lyons, CEDER Evaluation Associate, is the Project Lead.
